A rational sect of human philosophists. While there is a large amount of philosophical eclecticism, the Combari focus mainly on applying an Eleatic model to the universe around them. Xenophanes (c. 570 - 475 B.C.) was the founder of a school in Elea. He proposed that "the One," or one good, is the source of everything; the One is also the eternal natural world. This pantheistic model recognizes that there is a common thread binding all of life together.
